What to Expect with your Procedure

BOTOX® / XEOMIN / DYSPORT

Technique:

In a simple and quick minor procedure, Dr.Baig will inject a carefully measured amount of Botox into the area of concern.

Initially, the skin will be wiped with alcohol, and this will be allowed to dry. Using a very small needle, the chemical will be introduced into the appropriate location.

As in all injections, some minor discomfort may be experienced, but this lasts only for a moment.

In the eyebrow area, the injection will be placed above the level of the eyebrow to address the vertical wrinkles that arise just above the nose. An additional injection can be placed between the eyebrows to address the horizontal wrinkles that are occasionally present at the top of the nose. With respect to the “crow’s feet” area, two to four small injections will be placed superficially into the area of the muscle that contributes to the development of “crow’s feet” wrinkles. It is expected that only partial inactivation of the muscle will occur in this area to leave a natural appearance at rest while smiling.

JUVIDERM / RESTYLINE / BELOTERO Procedure

The procedure is relatively simple, and will be performed by Dr Baig and finished in a few minutes.. Treatment can be administered without anesthetic, but if you are sensitive to needles, you can request that a numbing agent be used on the skin. The doctor will inject the filler gel under the skin with a fine needle. Where the gel is injected depends on the desired results, as does the number of injections and the amount of filler used. A typical treatment lasts fifteen minutes or a half an hour depending on how many injections are administered.

Micro Needling & PRP

What does it feel like?

Micro-Needling feels similar to sandpaper being moved across the skin. Topical numbing may be applied prior to your procedure, but no anesthesia or medications are necessary.

What does the PRP procedure entail?

Blood (about 400 cc or 3 table spoonful) is taken ( drawn from the arm by butterfly needle ) from your own body and the PRP is separated from the other components. The PRP is then topically applied to the skin immediately following a micro-needling procedure. The micro-channels created by micro-needling provide direct pathways to the deeper layers of skin for optimal wound healing. Micro-needling with PRP application is an ideal treatment for smoothing fine lines, wrinkles, and scars or even increasing plumpness and overall rejuvenation of the skin.

RF Microneedling

The procedure is a minimally invasive procedure done using tiny needles that deliver radiofrequency waves into the skin. A topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area, afer numbing the area it is then cleaned throughly. A pair eye wear will be placed over the eye area for protection to the eye arae. The procedure consists of 3 passes over the treatment area, with the intensity and needle depth decreasing with each pass. The forehead and periorbital areas only receive two passes. Once the procedure has been completed a growth solution is applied to support cell regeneration.

Mesotherapy Procedure

The procedure consists of making single or multiple injections into the desired target area. We define a target area to be about the size of the palm of your hand. After the injection, there can be some tenderness, swelling. The discomfort that may last one to two days. Usually the injections are made with a very small needle to the point where the discomfort is minimal and if the patient is anxious or concerned, we will usually apply a topical numbing cream to the skin before the procedure to increase comfort. I tell patients it usually takes four to eight treatment sessions to achieve the desired results. I also tell patients that it works in approximately 80 percent of the appropriately selected patients. Dr Baig tells most patients that after two treatments they should notice a difference. In the small percentage of patients who do not see results after two sessions, the treatment is discontinued. Treatment sessions are spaced out optimally at two-week intervals. A typical treatment strategy involves injections over two to three months to achieve the desired results.
